LAMINATED SAFETY GLASS

LAMSAFE is a safety glass which consists of two or more glass lites separated by polyvinyl butyral adhesive film (PVB).

LAMSAFE provides excellent safety performance and is appropriate for area requiring high penetration resistance.

LAMSAFE has excellent acoustic performance in certain frequency ranges and can reduce undesirable noise.

Excellent High Security

If LAMSAFE is broken or hit, the broken pieces of glass will remain adhered to the PVB film, and therefore will not scatter or drop off.

Consequently, LAMSAFE greatly reduces the risk of injury and is recommended for applications such as sloped or overhead glazing.

LAMSAFE can be used for many applications because it can be fabricated to gain greater performance depending upon the combinations of glass lites, as follows:

• Annealedl glass + PVB + Annealed glass
• Annealed glass + PVB + Heat strengthened glass
• Annealed glass + PVB + Tempered glass
• Annealed glass + PVB + Reflective glass
• Heat strengthened glass + PVB + Heat strengthened glass
• Tempered glass + PVB + Tempered glass

• Display cases for precious products in places requiring robbery prevention such as museums and jewelry shops

Recommendation for LAMSAFE

LAMSAFE should be in framed with an appropriate enclosure for its protection since the edge of LAMSAVE may absorb moisture or organic solvents which causes delamination of the PVB film.
